Pakistan Summons Indian Diplomat Over Unprovoked Strikes; Issues Strong Demarche

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan on Wednesday summoned the Indian Chargé d’Affaires to deliver a formal and strong protest regarding the recent unprovoked Indian airstrikes targeting multiple locations across Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The strikes, which resulted in the loss of civilian lives and injuries to several others, including women and children, were strongly condemned by the Pakistani government.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Indian diplomat was handed a formal demarche, conveying Pakistan’s categorical rejection of India’s baseless justifications for its aggressive military actions. It was emphasized that these attacks constituted a flagrant violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The spokesperson highlighted that India’s actions were in direct contravention of the United Nations Charter, international law, and the norms that regulate peaceful inter-state relations. Pakistan firmly denounced the strikes as unlawful and provocative acts of aggression.

The Indian side was cautioned that such irresponsible and reckless behavior could escalate tensions and seriously undermine regional peace and stability. Pakistan reiterated its commitment to defending its sovereignty and underscored the need for restraint and respect for international legal norms.
