Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium Presents Credentials to King Philippe, Highlights Commitment to Stronger Ties

 

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the European Union and Belgium, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, officially presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium during a formal ceremony at the Royal Palace on Thursday.

The presentation marked a significant step in Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to deepen its diplomatic and economic engagement with Belgium and the broader European Union. Ambassador Qureshi used the opportunity to reaffirm Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including trade, education, and sustainable development.

In a statement shared on social media platform X following the ceremony, Ambassador Qureshi emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to fostering closer ties with Belgium. He also briefed King Philippe on the regional peace and security environment in South Asia, underlining Pakistan’s continued pursuit of peaceful relations and regional stability.

The ambassador reiterated Pakistan’s readiness to collaborate with Belgium in addressing global challenges such as climate change, economic development, and international peacebuilding efforts.

The event reflects Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic approach in Europe and its emphasis on reinforcing relationships with key EU member states.
