Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Reaffirms Strong Support for Pakistan Amid Regional Tensions

 

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on Friday conveyed his country’s strong solidarity and unwavering support for Pakistan during a phone call with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

According to a statement by the Foreign Office, Ishaq Dar briefed his Azerbaijani counterpart on the evolving regional security situation, particularly in the context of India’s recent “illegal and unprovoked attacks” that violated Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Foreign Minister Bayramov expressed deep concern over the escalation and offered heartfelt condolences to the people of Pakistan over the loss of innocent lives. He underscored Azerbaijan’s principled stance in supporting Pakistan during this critical time.

Both leaders reaffirmed the enduring fraternal ties between their nations and emphasized the importance of continued communication and close coordination on matters of mutual interest. They also reiterated their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation across all sectors.
