In a recent statement, Pakistan’s military spokesperson confirmed that eleven security personnel were martyred and seventy-eight others sustained injuries during Operation ‘Marka-e-Haq’, launched in response to intense Indian aggression on May 6 and 7, 2025. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the attacks by Indian forces targeted both military and civilian areas.
The fallen heroes include six Pakistan Army soldiers and five officers from the Pakistan Air Force. The air force personnel who lost their lives were Squadron Leader Usman Yousuf, Chief Technician Aurangzeb, Senior Technician Najeeb Sultan, Senior Technician Mubashir, and Corporal Technician Farooq.
According to the ISPR, Indian forces launched unprovoked shelling across the Line of Control, killing 40 civilians, including 15 children and 7 women. Additionally, 121 civilians were injured, among them 27 children and 10 women.
The military emphasized that the sacrifices made by the martyrs represent unmatched bravery, deep patriotism, and unyielding commitment to national sovereignty. Prayers have been extended for the speedy recovery of the wounded. The statement further asserted that any future aggression will be met with a decisive and powerful response.
The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s sovereignty is non-negotiable and that the nation remains united in the face of external aggression.
