Pakistan Embassy in Cairo Observes Youm-e-Tashakur to Honor National Unity and Armed Forces’ Valor
The Embassy of Pakistan in Cairo solemnly marked Youm-e-Tashakur on Friday, paying tribute to the unwavering spirit of the Pakistani people and the exceptional bravery of the country’s Armed Forces during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos and Marka-e-Haq.

A ceremonial flag hoisting took place at the Chancery, where Ambassador Aamir Shouket raised the national flag while the national anthem played. The ceremony symbolized a collective expression of gratitude and national pride.
In his address, Ambassador Aamir Shouket commended the steadfast determination of the Pakistani nation in resisting unprovoked aggression. He praised the country’s political leadership and Armed Forces for their united and professional response in defending Pakistan’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts were equally commendable, as the country effectively presented its stance on international platforms. The global community, he noted, recognized Pakistan’s call for an impartial investigation, and international media widely acknowledged Pakistan’s principled response to regional threats.
Ambassador Shouket expressed appreciation to the Egyptian government for supporting the ceasefire and recognizing Pakistan’s commitment to peace. He stressed that Pakistan remains a peace-loving nation that exercised its right to self-defense in response to unjustified aggression and has no desire for escalation in the region.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the innocent victims—including women and children—as well as the courageous members of Pakistan’s Armed Forces who embraced martyrdom while defending the nation.
The observance of *Youm-e-Tashakur* in Cairo served as a strong message of national pride, unity, and a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s commitment to peace, sovereignty, and justice on the global stage.
