Field Marshal Asim Munir Hosts Dinner Honoring Political Leadership for Operation Bunyān Mursūs Success

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir hosted a high-level dinner in Rawalpindi to honor the resilience of political leadership, the steadfastness of the armed forces, and the unwavering resolve of the Pakistani nation during the ‘Battle for Truth’ and the success of Operation Bunyān Mursūs.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the event was attended by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, federal ministers, governors, chief ministers, and other senior government officials.

The dinner also welcomed Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chiefs of Air and Naval Staff, senior leadership from political parties, and high-ranking officers from all three armed services.

ISPR reported that attendees paid tribute to the nation’s unified stance during heightened Pakistan-India tensions. The event highlighted the political leadership’s wisdom, the bravery and sacrifices of the armed forces, and the patriotic spirit of the Pakistani people.

In his remarks, Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed gratitude for the strategic vision shown by the political leadership during the Battle for Truth. He praised the military’s uninterrupted and professional performance in ensuring the operational success of Operation Bunyān Mursūs.

He also recognized the unwavering role of Pakistani youth and media in countering India’s disinformation campaign, describing them as a “steel wall” against hostile propaganda.

Additionally, Field Marshal Munir commended the exemplary services of Pakistani scientists, engineers, and diplomats, whose dedication remained unshaken throughout the conflict.

Concluding his address, he remarked that the day symbolizes a renewed national resolve for unity, strength, and progress in harmony.
