PM Shehbaz Arrives in Tajikistan for Bilateral Talks and Glaciers’ Preservation Conference
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Dushanbe on Thursday for a two-day official visit aimed at enhancing Pakistan-Tajikistan relations and participating in the high-level International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation.
Upon his arrival at Dushanbe International Airport, the Prime Minister was warmly received by Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, Deputy Foreign Minister Sharifzoda Farrukh Homiddin, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Muhammad Saeed Sarwar, and Tajik Ambassador to Pakistan Yusuf Sharifzoda. The premier is accompanied by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi.
During his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to hold a significant bilateral meeting with President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan. The discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation across various sectors and reviewing regional developments. Prime Minister Sharif is also expected to express Pakistan’s gratitude for Tajikistan’s consistent diplomatic support, particularly in the context of tensions with India.
