Saudi Embassy in Pakistan Honours Team Behind Makkah Route Success

The Saudi Embassy in Islamabad held a special farewell ceremony to recognize and honor the team assigned to implement the Makkah Route Initiative, celebrating their pivotal role in simplifying travel procedures for Pakistani Hajj pilgrims.

At the farewell event, the embassy commended the dedicated efforts of the Makkah Route working team, which played a crucial role in enhancing the Hajj experience for Pakistani pilgrims. Their work ensured that immigration and travel procedures were completed smoothly and efficiently prior to departure from Pakistan.

 

Makkah Route: A Vision 2030 Project
The Makkah Route Initiative is a key part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aimed at improving the pilgrimage experience through advanced logistical support and streamlined processes. By conducting pre-departure immigration, customs, and health screenings at Islamabad Airport, the initiative enabled pilgrims to arrive in the Kingdom as if they were domestic travelers.

Strengthening Saudi-Pakistani Ties
Saudi officials expressed their deep appreciation for the team’s professionalism, coordination, and commitment to serving the guests of Allah. The embassy reaffirmed its support for strengthening bilateral cooperation with Pakistan in religious and diplomatic sectors.
