RIYADH — The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced on Monday that it has issued more than 190,000 Umrah visas to international pilgrims since the start of the 2025 Umrah season.
The current Umrah season began last month, with visa applications available through the Kingdom’s unified Nusuk digital platform. Nusuk provides pilgrims and visitors with a streamlined way to book permits, manage their travel plans, and access a variety of digital services designed to elevate their spiritual experience.
The surge in early Umrah visa applications follows a highly successful Hajj season, characterized by advanced technical infrastructure, improved processes, and enhanced safety measures to facilitate a seamless pilgrimage.
This initiative is aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to transform religious tourism through technological innovation and superior service delivery, ensuring pilgrims enjoy an efficient and spiritually fulfilling journey.
Saudi authorities expect the strong demand for Umrah visas to continue rising in the coming weeks as more pilgrims benefit from these improved facilities and simplified procedures.
