Islamabad — The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced that more than 114,500 applications have been received under the Government Hajj Scheme 2026, leaving just 3,500 seats unfilled.

According to ministry spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, all nominated banks have been instructed to continue accepting applications until the final quota is filled

The spokesperson urged prospective pilgrims to act immediately.

“The application process will close the moment the remaining 3,500 seats are filled. Intending pilgrims should submit forms at the nearest nominated bank branches without delay,” he said.

Officials noted that the overwhelming number of applications reflects the deep spiritual commitment of Pakistani citizens and their strong preference for traveling under the government-run scheme. This year’s response marks one of the highest participation levels in recent Hajj programs, underscoring public confidence in official arrangements.

Once the quota is complete, the ministry will finalize the list of selected pilgrims and make logistical arrangements, including flights, accommodation, and facilitation services in Saudi Arabia, ensuring smooth travel for all participants.
