Islamabad — Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday held a farewell meeting with the outgoing Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, at Aiwan-e-Sadr, where he praised the UAE’s unwavering support to Pakistan and reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation.
According to an official statement, President Zardari appreciated the UAE’s assistance to Pakistan, particularly during critical times, and lauded Ambassador Al-Zaabi for his role in advancing diplomatic engagement, trade, and investment opportunities between the two countries.
“Pakistan attaches great importance to its longstanding brotherly relations with the UAE,” the President said, reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to enhancing a multifaceted partnership in areas including trade, investment, and regional collaboration.
He congratulated Ambassador Al-Zaabi on the successful completion of his diplomatic mission in Pakistan and extended best wishes for his future assignments, acknowledging his contribution to strengthening Pakistan-UAE relations.
