Pakistan, Bangladesh Vow to Deepen Bilateral Ties in Wide-Ranging Talks

DHAKA/ISLAMABAD —  Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, met Bangladesh’s Foreign Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain held extensive talks in Dhaka on Sunday, reviewing the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and regional cooperation.

According to the Foreign Office, discussions covered high-level exchanges, trade and economic collaboration, cultural interactions, educational cooperation, capacity-building initiatives, humanitarian matters, and people-to-people contacts.

Both sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues, including the revival of SAARC, the Palestinian conflict, and the Rohingya humanitarian crisis.

The meeting was described as taking place in a constructive and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the goodwill shared between the two nations. Both Pakistan and Bangladesh agreed to work towards further strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Following the talks, the Bangladeshi Foreign Adviser hosted a lunch in honor of the Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
