ISLAMABAD — Pakistan has achieved a historic milestone in international martial arts as three siblings from Swat won four medals at the MBW International Taekwondo Championship 2025 in Malaysia, where more than 4,200 athletes from 32 nations competed.

Pakistan’s youngest taekwondo star, Ayesha Ayaz, once again proved her exceptional talent by winning a gold medal and a bronze medal, further strengthening her legacy as a trailblazer for women in sports. Known for inspiring young girls nationwide, Ayesha has consistently raised Pakistan’s profile on the global stage

Her elder brother, Mohammad Zaryab Khan, claimed a gold medal after delivering outstanding performances, while the youngest sibling, Gulalai Ayaz, earned a bronze medal and was honored with the prestigious title of Best Fighter of the Tournament.

This marks the first time in Pakistan’s history that three siblings collectively secured four international medals in a single taekwondo championship.

Their victory has sparked widespread celebrations in Swat and across Pakistan, with analysts highlighting the achievement as proof of the nation’s untapped potential in martial arts. Experts emphasized that with better facilities, government support, and international exposure, Pakistan’s athletes could become dominant figures in global competitions.

In a statement, Ayesha Ayaz expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah, her father, and her supporters, while also acknowledging the encouragement of Hassan Nisar, CEO of Metrix Pakistan, for his continuous backing of her sporting journey.
