Riyadh — The Muslim World League (MWL) has condemned remarks made by a minister in the Israeli occupation government threatening to annex the West Bank and dissolve the Palestinian Authority, describing them as extremist and hostile.
In a statement, MWL Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, who also chairs the Organization of Muslim Scholars, said such rhetoric reflects Israel’s persistent contempt for international legitimacy and its disregard for the rights and lives of Palestinians. He stressed that these actions undermine all chances of ending the war and establishing peace.
Dr. Al-Issa reaffirmed the justice of the Palestinian cause, asserting the Palestinian people’s historical and legal right to their land. He called on the international community to assume its legal and moral obligations by taking decisive measures to halt the ongoing human tragedy and to support Palestinians’ right to self-determination and statehood.
The MWL emphasized that the international community must act decisively to counter policies that fuel instability and obstruct regional and global peace efforts.
