
Italian Ambassador Meets Pakistan’s Minister to Enhance Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad — The Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan, Ms. Marilina Armellin, called on Federal Minister for Defence Production, Muhammad Raza Hayat Harraj, on Friday to discuss avenues for strengthening bilateral ties and expanding defence cooperation.
According to an official press release, the minister welcomed the ambassador and underscored the importance Pakistan attaches to its longstanding partnership with Italy. He highlighted that Pakistan considers Italy a trusted friend and a reliable partner, particularly in areas of defence, energy, and industrial collaboration.
Minister Harraj praised Italy’s advanced defence industrial capabilities and emphasized that Pakistan is keen to explore joint ventures in defence production and energy sectors. He noted that such partnerships could provide significant opportunities for both countries while addressing the operational needs of Pakistan’s armed forces.
Both sides also agreed on the importance of maintaining a regular exchange of high-level visits to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Armellin expressed her appreciation to the minister for the meeting and reaffirmed her government’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Pakistan in multiple sectors, especially in defence and industrial collaboration.
