Russian Deputy Prime Minister Meets Pakistani Army Chief to Discuss Bilateral Relations

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk visited Pakistan’s General Headquarters on Wednesday for a courtesy meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir. The meeting focused on mutual interests, regional security, and expanding bilateral cooperation, according to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) release.

General Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing traditional defence relations with Russia. Both sides expressed their determination to strengthen security and defence collaboration. Deputy Prime Minister Overchuk commended the Pakistan Armed Forces for their crucial role in counterterrorism and their ongoing efforts to ensure regional peace and stability.
