HRCP Raises Alarm Over Extrajudicial Killings in Quetta, Umerkot

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has voiced serious concerns regarding the extrajudicial killings of two individuals accused of blasphemy in Quetta and Umerkot.

In Quetta, a hotel owner reportedly died while in police custody, while a doctor in Umerkot was killed during a police raid, according to a press release by the HRCP.

The Commission condemned these incidents, stressing that state officials’ alleged involvement in such acts of violence is deeply troubling.

HRCP has urged the government to launch an independent investigation into the death of the doctor in Umerkot, calling for accountability and justice for those involved.
