President Zardari Reaffirms Pakistan’s Commitment to China

President Asif Ali Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to collaborating with China for shared prosperity and global peace during the “China’s National Day Reception” at the Chinese Embassy on Thursday. Emphasizing the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he stated that its high-quality development would unlock greater benefits for both nations and enhance regional connectivity and prosperity.

The reception marked the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, federal ministers, dignitaries, diplomats, and senior officials.

President Zardari extended heartfelt congratulations to the Chinese people, noting that October 1 symbolizes the rebirth of a united China, achieved through the efforts of its citizens under the leadership of the Communist Party. He highlighted the enduring Pakistan-China friendship, which has evolved into an All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

This partnership, he remarked, serves as a model for inter-state relations and is a source of strength for both countries. Zardari expressed confidence that China is on the brink of significant achievements in the coming decades, which would positively influence the global political, economic, and cultural landscape.
