Renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik has announced his forthcoming visit to Pakistan with his son, marking his return after nearly eight years.
In a recent interview with Pakistani YouTuber Nadir Ali, Dr. Naik suggested his plans, which he has now confirmed via social media platform X.
Dr. Naik explained that he will visit Pakistan at the invitation of the Pakistani government. He shared his itinerary, stating that he will address public gatherings in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad throughout October. Specifically, he will be in Karachi on October 5 and 6, Lahore on October 12 and 13, and Islamabad on October 19 and 20.
These addresses will be broadcast live on the religious television channel Peace TV.
Notably, the Indian government banned Dr. Naik’s Islamic Research Foundation in 2016, alleging illegal activities. In 2019, he faced charges of sedition and money laundering, which effectively barred his return to India.
Dr. Naik had initially planned to visit Pakistan in 2020, but the global COVID-19 pandemic thwarted those intentions. He is now set to finalize his long-awaited trip next month.
