South Africa beats Afghanistan in 3rd ODI, but Afghanistan clinches series 2-1

South Africa claimed a 7-wicket victory against Afghanistan in the third ODI of the series in Sharjah. Despite the win, Afghanistan secured the three-match series 2-1.

Chasing a modest target of 170, South Africa reached the total comfortably in 33 overs. Aiden Markram top-scored with an unbeaten 69, while Tristan Stubbs added 26 not out. Contributions from Tony de Zorzi (26), captain Temba Bavuma (22), and Reeza Hendricks (18) helped seal the win.

Afghanistan’s bowlers, Mohammad Nabi, Ghazanfar, and Fareed Ahmed, each claimed a wicket.

Earlier in the series, Afghanistan had won the first ODI by 6 wickets and the second match by a huge margin of 177 runs, securing their first-ever series win against South Africa.
