The Dallas Cowboys secured their seventh consecutive victory against the New York Giants, edging out their division rival 20-15 in a hard-fought road game.
Quarterback Dak Prescott showcased his skills, completing 22 of 27 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns. One of his highlights was a 55-yard touchdown connection with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in the first half. Meanwhile, the Cowboys’ defense, while tested, held firm, conceding only five field goals throughout the match.
Despite the loss, the Giants demonstrated significant offensive prowess. They outperformed the Cowboys in first downs, passing yards, and total yards, controlling the ball for a whopping 35 minutes and 37 seconds. However, their inability to convert drives into touchdowns proved costly; New York repeatedly settled for field goals rather than capitalizing on opportunities in the red zone.
One particularly frustrating drive for the Giants came right after halftime. They advanced 77 yards over 11 plays, only to kick a short field goal from the three-yard line instead of pushing for a touchdown on 4th-and-goal. This decision limited them to just three points for the remainder of the half.
While the Giants had some success through the air, the Cowboys effectively contained their ground game, allowing just 1.1 yards per carry.
Dallas struck early, scoring both of their touchdowns in the first half, along with two field goals in the second. Kicker Brandon Aubrey converted two out of three attempts but faced his first career miss from over 50 yards late in the fourth quarter.
The game also saw injuries to two key players in the final quarter. Cowboys defensive end Micah Parsons was carted off after getting entangled with offensive linemen, while rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers of the Giants suffered a concussion shortly after.
With this victory, the Cowboys improved their season record to 2-2, while the Giants fell to 1-3.
