Pakistan’s Diplomatic Victory: Confirmation of Terrorism from Afghanistan by China, Russia, and Iran

China, Russia, and Iran have confirmed that multiple terrorist groups, including the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the Majid Brigade, and the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), are operating from Afghanistan and pose a significant threat to neighboring countries.

This statement emerged during a quadrilateral meeting of foreign ministers from Pakistan, China, Russia, and Iran held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly. The joint statement clearly indicated that the countries rejected claims that the Afghan Taliban provides refuge to any terrorist group, including the TTP.

During the meeting, the foreign ministers expressed deep concern over the current security situation in Afghanistan. They stated that groups such as ISIS, Al-Qaeda, the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM), Jaish al-Adl, TTP, BLA, and the Majid Brigade are hidden in Afghanistan, posing grave threats to regional and global security.

The four nations strongly condemned the terrorist actions carried out by these groups against neighboring countries and emphasized the need to strengthen multilateral cooperation in counter-terrorism efforts.

The joint statement also urged the Taliban government to ensure that its territory is not used for terrorism against other countries and to take comprehensive measures to address the root causes and manifestations of terrorism.

Finally, the foreign ministers commended Pakistan and Iran for hosting millions of Afghan refugees, particularly as they continue to provide humanitarian hospitality amid escalating crises.
