Malaysian Prime Minister Dr. Anwar Ibrahim is set to visit Pakistan from October 2 to 4, 2024, following an invitation from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The visit will see Dr. Anwar accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, including key ministers, deputy ministers, and senior officials, according to a statement from the Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch.
The two prime ministers are expected to hold discussions aimed at boosting cooperation in sectors like trade, energy, agriculture, halal products, and tourism. Strengthening cultural ties and increasing people-to-people connections between the two countries will also be high on the agenda. Additionally, they will address various regional and international developments.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch highlighted that Pakistan and Malaysia share a longstanding relationship built on historical, cultural, and religious bonds, and this visit presents an opportunity to further enhance these ties.
