Pakistan Condemns Israel’s Attacks on UN Secretary-General

Pakistan has denounced Israel for its “unjustified and slanderous” attacks on UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who has been barred from entering the country and labeled as “persona non grata.”

In an interview with APP’s UN correspondent, Ambassador Munir Akram expressed Pakistan’s full solidarity with Guterres, praising his principled and courageous stance on the Middle East situation, particularly regarding the atrocities in Gaza and aggression against Lebanon.

“Israel’s unjustified and slanderous attacks against the UN Secretary-General and the United Nations, which serves as a pillar of world order, are strongly condemned,” the Pakistani UN envoy stated. He emphasized that “insult and abuse are the weapons of aggressors and oppressors.”

The ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of over 41,000 Palestinians, primarily women and children. The recent offensive against Lebanon has also led to thousands of casualties and widespread displacement in both conflict zones.
