Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired the 17th provincial cabinet meeting, approving a historic program for collective weddings that will support 3,000 girls from low-income families. Each bride will receive Rs. 100,000 via ATM card along with gifts such as furniture and dinner sets.

The cabinet also greenlighted the leasing of 100,000 acres of land to landless farmers for temporary cultivation. A new e-bus service scheme was approved, with 27 buses set to launch in the first phase, aiming for a total of 680 e-buses operational across the province by year-end.

Maryam directed stringent monitoring of flour and chicken prices and confirmed that Kisan cards had been issued to 267,000 farmers, with a significant increase in agricultural exports expected. The cabinet also ratified various health and education initiatives, including funds for the construction of 839 houses under the New Pakistan Housing Scheme and the extension of the Family Welfare Centers program.

Additionally, the cabinet approved the establishment of a Wildlife Protection Force to safeguard 96 protected wildlife areas and sanctioned funds for the Ajoka International Theater Festival in Lahore, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to social, economic, and environmental development in Punjab.
