Pakistani Nooh Butt Crowned Commonwealth Powerlifting Champion in South Africa

Pakistani powerlifter Nooh Butt has emerged as the Commonwealth Champion in the 120 kg category at the ongoing Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship in South Africa.

During the competition, Butt showcased his exceptional strength by winning a total of three gold medals and one bronze. His outstanding performance included a gold medal in the squat event, where he lifted an impressive 370 kg, followed by another gold in the bench press with a lift of 210 kg. Additionally, he clinched a bronze medal in the deadlift category by lifting 280 kg. Overall, he lifted a staggering 860 kg in the open category, securing the championship title.

Nooh Butt, who has previously represented Pakistan in weightlifting and earned multiple medals, switched to powerlifting after differences with the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation. His recent success has made headlines, and he is now seeking the nation’s prayers as he aspires to return home with four gold medals.
