Mehdi Hassan Celebrated at Alhamra Arts Council: ‘Ghazal Revival is Crucial

Special tribute event titled *Jashn-e-Mehdi Hassan* was organized at Alhamra Arts Council to honor the legacy of the iconic Ghazal singer, Mehdi Hassan. The gathering was attended by his son, Kamran Mehdi Hassan, and folk artist Hafsa Nadeem.

Kamran Mehdi Hassan revealed that he has launched the *Jashn-e-Mehdi Hassan* series in collaboration with fellow Pakistanis to commemorate his father’s contributions to music. The series will feature 11 events in total, aimed at reviving and promoting the traditional art of Ghazal, a genre that Mehdi Hassan personified during his illustrious career.
