PM Shahbaz Sharif Urges Enhanced Cooperation with Turkmenistan

Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday emphasized the need for boosting high-level exchanges between Pakistan and Turkmenistan, stressing that both nations should work closely to unlock the full potential of their bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, energy, and connectivity sectors.

The remarks were made during a meeting with Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government (CHG) summit, taking place from October 15-16 in Islamabad. The discussion, according to a PM Office Media Wing press release, focused on strengthening ties and exploring opportunities for mutual growth, especially in key sectors that would enhance regional connectivity and energy cooperation.
