South Africa Women’s team defeated Australia by 8 wickets in the first semi-final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, securing their place in the final. Chasing a target of 135 runs, South Africa achieved the score with ease, losing just 2 wickets in the process.

The standout performance came from Anneke Bosch, who played a brilliant unbeaten innings of 74 runs, guiding her team to victory. She was well-supported by Captain Laura Wolvaardt, who contributed a solid 42 runs. Together, they built a crucial partnership that ensured a smooth chase.

South Africa won the toss and opted to field first. Australia managed to put up 134 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Despite a steady start, the Australian batters were unable to accelerate, leading to a modest total that proved insufficient against South Africa’s determined chase.

With this commanding win, South Africa Women’s team has advanced to the final, marking a significant achievement in their T20 World Cup campaign.
