Palestinian Students Head to Pakistan for Medical Studies

The fifth batch of 11 Palestinian students from Gaza has departed Cairo for Pakistan to continue their medical education. The Pakistan embassy in Cairo facilitated the students’ journey, ensuring a smooth transition to their new academic opportunities.

This initiative follows a directive by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and has been supported by organizations including Global Relief Trust, Doctors of Rahman, and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan. The program is part of a broader effort to provide educational support on humanitarian grounds.

In July, the Government of Pakistan announced its decision to offer places to medical students from Gaza, allowing them to complete their studies in fields such as cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, pediatrics, and surgery. This move aims to address the critical healthcare needs in Gaza by equipping students with advanced medical training.
