Emerging Teams T20 Asia Cup: Pakistan Shaheens Defeat Oman by 74 Runs

Pakistan Shaheens secured a convincing 74-run victory over Oman in the Emerging Teams T20 Asia Cup. Batting first, Pakistan Shaheens posted a formidable total of 185 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs, while Oman managed to score only 111 for 7 in response.

Opting to bat, Pakistan Shaheens set a challenging target, led by solid performances from Qasim Akram, who scored 48 runs, Rohail Nazir with 41, and Arfat Minhas contributing 31. Oman’s Mazahir Raza managed to pick up two wickets during the innings.

Chasing 186, Oman struggled against a disciplined bowling attack from Pakistan. Despite efforts from Wasim Ali (28) and captain Jatinder Singh (24), they fell short, finishing their innings at 111 for 7. Pakistan’s Zaman Khan impressed with two key wickets.

Pakistan Shaheens will now face the UAE in their final group match on Wednesday.
