Army Chief Visits PAF Base, Observes “Indus Shield 2024” Multinational Exercise

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) operational air base, where he observed the ongoing multinational exercise “Indus Shield 2024.”

As per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS was welcomed by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber. During his visit, General Munir witnessed various operational displays and technology demonstrations, reflecting the PAF’s advanced capabilities and preparations. Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf was also present, signifying the joint coordination between the country’s armed forces.

General Munir was briefed on PAF’s strategies to tackle modern security challenges and lauded the force’s continuous advancements through its upgrade programs. Addressing the aircrew, the Army Chief praised their unwavering dedication to defending the nation’s airspace and highlighted the importance of inter-service collaboration for achieving operational excellence.

“The synergy between the Army, Navy, and Air Force is crucial for national defense, and exercises like ‘Indus Shield’ play a vital role in strengthening these ties,” said General Munir.

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer emphasized that the Army Chief’s visit reinforces the commitment to enhance inter-service coordination, particularly in training and operational sectors. He thanked General Munir for his visit, affirming the Air Force’s resolve to bolster joint capabilities for future missions.

The visit reflects the ongoing efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces to enhance their readiness through joint exercises and inter-service cooperation, fostering greater integration among the defense branches.
