PM Calls for Technological Advancements in Tax Collection by FBR

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to adopt modern technology to enhance its tax and revenue collection methods. This directive came during a review meeting focused on reforming the FBR, where the Prime Minister stressed the importance of improving the skills of FBR officers and effectively implementing new technologies.

In addition, Sharif urged the formulation of a strategic plan to restructure Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) and enhance systems designed to combat smuggling. He emphasized the necessity for the FBR to foster a taxpayer-friendly environment and instructed officials to diligently pursue the ongoing reform initiatives.
