Pakistani snooker players Asjad Iqbal, Awais Ullah Muneer, Muhammad Naseem Akhtar, and Muhammad Asif have secured their spots in the IBSF World Snooker Championship 2024, which is set to commence this Saturday in Doha, Qatar.
During the World Qualifier Stage 1 (Last Chance) Last 16 Round, Muhammad Asif faced off against Asjad Iqbal in a tense match, ultimately winning 4-2. The frames showcased Asif’s skill, with significant scores including 78-32, 08-84(76), 88(53)-08, 86(52)-63, 04-78(69), and 80(64)-25. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Thaha Irshath triumphed over Ahsan in a closely contested battle, clinching a 4-3 victory.
Asif’s qualification marks a significant achievement, while Asjad also advanced due to an additional entry granted by the IBSF for outstanding performance in Stage 1. The championship promises to be a platform for these talented cueists to shine on the global stage as they represent Pakistan in the prestigious tournament.
