Acting President Gilani Highlights Importance of Strengthening Ties with Qatar

Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening its relationship with Qatar during a meeting with Ambassador Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday. Gilani emphasized that both nations have significant potential to enhance economic and trade cooperation, inviting Qatari companies to explore Pakistan’s investment-friendly market.

Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani lauded Qatar for its successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and extended his appreciation to the Qatari government for welcoming the Pakistani diaspora, which he described as a crucial link in fostering cultural and economic connections.

Ambassador Al-Khater expressed Qatar’s positive outlook on Pakistan’s business climate and revealed plans for Qatar’s Minister for Investment to visit Pakistan with a delegation. This upcoming visit aims to identify investment opportunities and strengthen economic partnerships.

The ambassador also noted that the recent visit of Pakistan’s Prime Minister to Qatar was expected to further solidify investment and trade relations between the two countries.
