Afghanistan’s Stunning Victory: Defeats South Africa by 177 Runs

Afghanistan achieved a remarkable victory over South Africa in the second ODI played in Sharjah, winning by 177 runs and securing a decisive 0-2 lead in the three-match series.

Chasing a target of 312 runs, South Africa was all out for 134 runs. Captain Temba Bavuma led the scoring with 38 runs, while Tony de Zorzi contributed 31 and Aiden Markram scored 21 runs.

In Afghanistan’s bowling lineup, Rashid Khan took 5 wickets, while Nengalia Kharote claimed 4 and Azmatullah Omarzai took 1 wicket.

Batting first, Afghanistan set a target of 311 runs in their allotted 50 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz played a stunning innings, scoring 105 runs, while Rahmat Shah contributed 50, Riyaz Hassan scored 29, and Mohammad Nabi added 13 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai remained not out at 86, with Rashid Khan adding 6 runs.
