Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, has proposed the establishment of a regional logistics forum in Pakistan to strengthen the country’s logistics and supply chain industry.

The ambassador made this proposal during a meeting with representatives from the Global Logistics Alliance (GLA) and Logistics Mode Pvt Ltd (LMP) on the sidelines of the 12th GLA Logistics Forum held in Dubai.

Promoting Regional Connectivity and Investment

Ambassador Tirmizi emphasized Pakistan’s potential as a regional logistics hub and highlighted the importance of fostering collaboration across regional supply chain stakeholders. He encouraged the launch of a logistics forum in Pakistan to attract investment, enhance connectivity, and support economic development.

Acknowledging Strategic Partnerships

During the discussion, Grace, President and Founder of GLA, expressed appreciation to Ambassador Tirmizi for delivering the keynote address at the GLA Forum. She praised Pakistan’s strategic location and vital role in regional trade, particularly in connection with China through initiatives like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Recognizing Industry Achievements

Ambassador Tirmizi commended both GLA and LMP for their contributions to the logistics sector. He congratulated LMP on receiving the “Best Contribution Award” at the 12th GLA Conference and acknowledged the company’s growing influence in freight forwarding operations between Pakistan and the UAE.

Both the ambassador and Grace praised LMP’s leadership in logistics innovation and its efforts to strengthen trade corridors across South Asia and the Gulf region.

Strengthening Bilateral and Regional Ties

The meeting underscored Pakistan’s strategic aim to become a central player in regional logistics, offering opportunities for international partnerships and infrastructure development. The proposed forum would serve as a platform for knowledge-sharing, investment facilitation, and regional collaboration in logistics and transportation.
