Armed Man Shot by U.S. Secret Service Near White House
A man carrying a firearm was shot by U.S. Secret Service agents near the White House following a confrontation early Sunday morning. The suspect, believed to have traveled from Indiana, was identified as a suicidal individual based on intelligence provided by local law enforcement.
According to a Secret Service statement, officers located the suspect’s vehicle near the White House shortly before midnight. Upon approaching the individual, he brandished a firearm, leading to an armed confrontation in which shots were fired by Secret Service personnel.
