Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir has pledged to root out terrorism and dismantle networks supporting extremist activities. During a visit to Wana, South Waziristan, the Army Chief stressed the importance of restoring peace and stability across the nation.
General Munir received a comprehensive briefing on the current security scenario and the progress of counterterrorism operations in the region. His visit highlights the military’s ongoing commitment to addressing the threats posed by militants in Pakistan’s volatile areas.
In his address to the troops, General Munir expressed his admiration for the resilience and sacrifices of the armed forces, stating:
“The sacrifices of our martyrs are the bedrock of our nation’s strength and pride. They will forever be remembered.”
He assured that the Pakistan Army, with the support of the nation, would continue its mission to eradicate terrorism and extremism in all forms.
The COAS issued a stern warning to those involved in anti-state activities, including financiers and supporters of terrorism:
“Those responsible for fostering violence and undermining national security will face the full force of the law.”
General Munir emphasized the critical role of the armed forces in safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty. He referred to the military personnel as the “real heroes of the nation” and commended their unwavering dedication to protecting the country.
The Army Chief reiterated the military’s determination to ensure lasting peace and stability in Pakistan. He vowed to dismantle extremist ideologies and hold accountable all those threatening the state’s integrity.
