Ayla Majid Elected President of ACCA- Marking Historic First for Pakistan

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has elected Ayla Majid as its new president, making her the first person from Pakistan to hold this prestigious position in the organization’s 120-year history.

Ayla Majid is the founder and CEO of Plenitude Middle East and Plenitude Pakistan, headquartered in Islamabad, which specializes in decarbonization, sustainability, and energy solutions. In her new role, she will lead over **252,500** ACCA members and **526,000** future members across **180 countries**.

Her election comes as ACCA celebrates a milestone, surpassing a quarter of a million members globally and marking its 120th anniversary.

Ayla Majid expressed her commitment to focusing on “the future of accounting, strategic perspectives, and stakeholder engagement” in her upcoming tenure. She emphasized that “the accounting profession is evolving rapidly, and we are committed to promoting it as a dynamic, purposeful, and attractive career choice.”

This achievement highlights not only Ayla’s career but also represents a significant moment for Pakistan on the international stage of finance and accounting.
