
Azerbaijan-Pakistan Legal Cooperation Discussed in Meeting Between Law Minister and Ambassador

Federal Minister for Law & Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar met with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Khazar Farhadov, to discuss strengthening ties between the two nations following the recent signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC).
During the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated Pakistan on the MOC and expressed optimism regarding its practical implementation, focusing on areas of mutual interest. He underscored Azerbaijan’s eagerness to expand collaboration, especially in the legal sector.
Minister Tarar emphasized the longstanding relationship between the two countries and proposed inviting the Azerbaijani Minister of Justice for an official visit to Pakistan. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation in legal assistance and highlighted recent legislative developments aimed at attracting foreign investment.
The Ambassador requested support for Azerbaijani businesses in Pakistan, particularly regarding feasibility studies and navigating the regulatory landscape. Both officials also discussed potential collaboration in legal education, training, and capacity building for key stakeholders in their justice systems.
To facilitate these efforts, it was agreed to establish a small working group to finalize the modalities and enhance communication between the two nations. The meeting concluded with both parties expressing gratitude and reaffirming their commitment to furthering mutual interests and cooperation.
