Baluchistan Suicide Attack: Five Martyred, Dozens Injured; Curfew Imposed in South Waziristan and Tank
A deadly suicide attack targeted a military convoy on the Noshki-Dalbandin highway in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province, resulting in the martyrdom of five individuals, including three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, and injuries to several others. The outlawed Baluchistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the incident occurred when a suicide bomber driving an explosive-laden vehicle detonated near the security convoy. The explosion caused significant damage, leading to the tragic loss of security personnel and civilians.
Casualties and Response
The ISPR confirmed that three FC soldiers—Havaldar Manzoor Ali, Havaldar Ali Bilawal, and Naik Abdul Rahim—along with two civilians, driver Jalaluddin and Muhammad Naeem, embraced martyrdom in the attack. Additionally, three soldiers and two innocent civilians sustained injuries and were immediately transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
In response, security forces launched a clearance operation in the area. During the exchange of fire, three terrorists were neutralized. The operation is ongoing, and authorities have vowed to bring those responsible for this cowardly act to justice.
