Belarusian PM, Pakistan Army Chief Discuss Regional Dynamics, Strengthening Security Ties

The Prime Minister of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko, met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, in Islamabad on Tuesday. The meeting focused on discussions around regional dynamics and explored ways to enhance bilateral security and defense cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan, according to a news release from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

General Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s appreciation for Belarus’s role in global and regional affairs** and expressed a commitment to further strengthen the military partnership between the two countries. He highlighted the potential for collaboration in defense and strategic sectors, reflecting Pakistan’s broader approach to enhancing regional security ties.

Prime Minister Golovchenko praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their pivotal contributions to regional peace and stability and acknowledged their professionalism and sacrifices in combating terrorism. He emphasized the importance of continued cooperation to address emerging regional security challenges and foster mutual growth.
