Islamabad Police have registered a terrorism case against Sardar Akhtar Mengal, chief of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), along with five others. The complaint, filed by Senate Joint Secretary Jamil Ahmed, accuses them of forcibly attempting to enter the Senate Hall while carrying weapons.
The report claims that during the incident, Mir Jahanzeb Mengal and Akhtar Nawaz pushed security personnel, trying to force their way inside the hall. The case has been filed at Islamabad’s Secretariat Police Station.
The charges come shortly after Sardar Akhtar Mengal was removed from the Senate gallery during proceedings related to the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
