British High Commissioner Meets Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif

British High Commissioner Ms. Jane Marriott held a meeting with Pakistan’s Minister for Defence, Defence Production, and Aviation, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, in Islamabad on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Khawaja Asif emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to fostering strong ties with the United Kingdom, highlighting the shared objectives of both nations in promoting global peace and security. He praised the significant role of the Pakistani diaspora in the UK, describing it as a “living bridge” that strengthens bilateral relations.

The Minister expressed optimism about enhanced defence cooperation between the two countries, particularly through established forums aimed at facilitating tangible progress in the sector.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the ongoing collaboration and underscored the importance of further strengthening bilateral ties in defence and beyond, according to an official press release.

The meeting reinforced the long-standing partnership between Pakistan and the UK, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to mutual cooperation for regional and global stability.
