BYD Launches Electric Vehicle Deliveries in Pakistan.
Report by Syed Farzand Ali
Pakistan’s electric vehicle (EV) market takes a significant leap forward as global new energy vehicle (NEV) giant BYD officially commences deliveries in the country. Partnering with Mega Motor Company (MMC), BYD has started delivering its EVs to customers in major cities, including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.
According to an official statement, BYD and MMC aim to deliver 100 vehicles within the first 48 hours of their operations. This marks a strategic milestone in Pakistan’s transition towards sustainable transportation.
To enhance customer experience, MMC has established dedicated BYD centers in key urban areas. These centers will provide buyers with access to the latest NEV technology and ensure high-quality service. As part of its expansion plan, BYD and MMC intend to launch a total of 15 centers across the country by the end of 2025.
The company has introduced two flagship models, BYD SEAL and BYD ATTO3, in Pakistan. These vehicles, known for their advanced battery technology and energy efficiency, are expected to play a pivotal role in the country’s shift towards environmentally friendly mobility solutions.
Speaking at the launch, BYD Pakistan Country Head Li Jian expressed excitement about this development, stating, “It is an honor to begin this journey in Pakistan. We firmly believe that BYD’s new energy vehicles and technologies will contribute significantly to Pakistan’s sustainable development goals.”
Meanwhile, Mega Motor Company Pakistan Vice President for Sales and Strategy, Danish Khaliq, emphasized the commitment to cleaner transportation. “We are start to deliveries across Pakistan. Our collaboration brings world-class NEV technology to the country, paving the way for a cleaner and more sustainable future,” he said.
The entry of BYD into Pakistan’s automotive industry is expected to accelerate EV adoption, reduce carbon emissions, and offer consumers more eco-friendly mobility options.
