Charge d’Affaires of Pakistan to India, Saad Ahmad Warraich laid a traditional chaddar at the shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Nizamuddin Aulia (RA) in New Delhi. This gesture was part of the 721st Urs celebrations of the revered Sufi saint, attended by a group of 75 Pakistani Zaireen (pilgrims).

Welcomed by Sajjadah Nasheen Dewan Tahir Nizami, Warraich and the Zaireen offered prayers at the shrine, asking for blessings for Pakistan’s prosperity. They also paid respects at the nearby Dargah of Hazrat Amir Khusro (RA). During the ceremony, Warraich highlighted the significant role of Sufi saints in promoting universal love, tolerance, and brotherhood, reflecting the core values of Islam.

The visit of the Pakistani Zaireen, taking place from October 19 to 25, is conducted under the framework of the 1974 India-Pakistan Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines, facilitating cultural exchanges and spiritual observances across borders.
