Major General Mohammad Baqeri, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, will soon visit Islamabad with a high-ranking military delegation at the official invitation of Pakistan’s Army Chief.

According to IRNA, Major General Mohammad Baqeri, the Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, will visit Islamabad shortly with a high-level military delegation.

The primary objectives of this visit include meetings with Pakistan’s senior political and defense officials, reviewing the regional situation, strengthening bilateral defense ties, and enhancing military cooperation.

This visit by Iran’s senior military delegation signifies a new chapter in strengthening military, defense, and security relations between two important countries of the Islamic world, Iran and Pakistan.

This will be Major General Baqeri’s third visit to Pakistan. He previously visited in July 2018 and September 2021.

It is worth noting that in late July of the previous year, Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir visited Tehran, where he met with Iran’s Chief of General Staff and senior military and civilian officials.
