China to Strengthen Global Cooperation and Innovation in 2025: President Xi Jinping

Chinese President Xi Jinping reaffirmed China’s commitment to fostering global friendship and cooperation during his New Year address on Tuesday. As the world undergoes unprecedented changes, Xi emphasized the need for unity and a shared vision for humanity’s future.

“China will rise above estrangement and conflict, advancing friendship and cooperation with all nations,” Xi stated. He highlighted China’s efforts as a major global player in maintaining peace, driving governance reforms, and strengthening ties among countries in the Global South. Through bilateral and multilateral engagements, Xi reiterated China’s dedication to building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Xi expressed confidence in China’s ability to address challenges, including economic pressures and technological transformation. “As always, we grow stronger through hard times. We must remain confident,” he urged. With the 14th Five-Year Plan nearing completion in 2025, China plans to implement proactive policies, prioritize high-quality development, and enhance self-reliance in science and technology.
