Islamabad — Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi concluded his three-day official visit to Pakistan on Friday, marking another milestone in the countries’ all-weather strategic partnership. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation, advancing regional stability, and promoting mutual prosperity.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, accompanied by senior officials, Pakistan’s ambassador to Beijing, and the Chinese envoy, saw off Wang Yi at the airport. Children waving Pakistani and Chinese flags lined the red carpet in a symbolic display of friendship and solidarity.
During the visit, Wang Yi and Senator Dar co-chaired the 6th Pakistan–China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue, where discussions focused on:

- China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) expansion
- People-to-people exchanges and multilateral engagement
Both sides emphasized that Pakistan–China relations are vital for shared prosperity and peace in South Asia and beyond.
Wang Yi also met with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
- Pakistani leaders reaffirmed that ties with China remain the cornerstone of Islamabad’s foreign policy, praising Beijing’s consistent support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, development, and security.
